'For three centuries the peasants of the Dwarvish island of Baylor have feared the raids of the Vampire Queen and her minions. Sweeping down at night from the palace in the shrouded peaks of the island, they range ever farther in their search for blood. And not only blood - the children of dwarf peasants often disappear if they are so unfortunate as to be out at night. Even the cities are no longer safe. The most recent victim was the Princess of Baylor, daughter of King Arman, who was taken in a midnight raid on the capital city of Ar Toe within the past weeks. King Arman has offered fabulous riches and land holdings with titles to the person or persons who can brace the stronghold of the Vampire Queen and return his daughter to him alive and well. But, in truth, he holds little hope. For even King Arman, Ruler of Baylor, Defeater of the Ten Orc Tribes, is afraid in his heart to face the Vampire Queen.'

Collectors arcana: Palace of the Vampire Queen is the first installment in Wee Warriors series of Dungeon Masters Kits. This is the first adventure published for sale by TSR. An argument could be made that the Blackmoor supplement predates PotVQ. This module also has the distinction of fetching the highest auction nets amongst all of the Wee Warriors items.

Printing information: For now the first 2 full sized versions commonly seen in auction are treated identically in terms of value and official print run standings. We have noticed the ones with covers getting a bit more in auction these days suggesting a desire to at least have a guaranteed complete one. We have also noticed the full sized versions come up for auction much more frequently then the digest prints. This would suggest the digest are more rare but have yet to command the auction prices to support this reality.

1st / 2nd printing: PotVQ is particularly perplexing as to determining the print run of the 1st and 2nd editions. Usually these have been seen in auctions with or without the covers. They are both identical without the cover. If one comes up for auction without the cover the general impression that we have gotten is the seller feels it is complete. There have also been a number of different versions popping up all over the place the suggest there were numerous variations that may or may not have been sold to the public in large quantities. At any rate, time will reveal more as more of these surface for sale. (see picture above).
